Sean Bean may play Cape Town fictional Detective Benny Griessel in a new film according to an article in Cape Argus. The article describes Benny as “worn-out, alcoholic and brilliant Benny Griessel”. According to the article 13 Hours author Deon Meyers tweeted that negotiations were in their final stages for Sean to star in the film and that filming would start in March in Cape Town, South Africa.  The thriller has won several awards.
